Daniel Deronda, Geo Eliot's novel - not one of the best - about the English Jewish minority

Prof Klesmer is tutor ro Mirah Lepidoth and they do a few of the nineteenth century Jewish songs. The choice of songs is nOT related to the plot
and it is a long read...

Jane austen as far as I remember doesnt
Dickens - I think doesnt
Thackeray no hits in Vanity Fair or Barry Lyndon - in the film (KUbrick) the music dump-dump-der-dump dump is mainly Schubert - piano Trios and String Trios and these are NOT mentioned in the book
Trollope - none as far as I remember in the political novels (Planty Pal show)
