Stuck on 78a - clue is "cheer most of the players at end of pantomine (7)" . First two letters are EL and we think the last letter is E if 80d is EAT - then the only word that seems to fit is ELEVATE but I can't think what that has to do with the clue. Any help appreciated!

elevate = cheer

most of playyers = elev (most of eleven)
at + end of pantomime = e
elevate can mean to cheer someone up - to lift someone's spirits, most of the players = elev(en) + at + e (end of pantomime)
