On Word 98 how can I insert a page break- like a pretty line at the end of a paragraph? it is to show the end of a section, but not the end of the book. I don't just want to put a straight line in! Is there a way of doing this on Word?
Thanks!

Doesn't sound like you want a page break.
If you want to insert a line style, you can do this by Inset - Picture - AutoShapes and draw your own line. Alternatively, get a .jpg file showing the type of line you want and insert that as a picture.
Or, in Word, if you select Insert - ClipArt - Web Dividers you can insert various line styles.

Thanks. I tried the web dividers but they asked me to insert some sort of disc?!
Then either get a document on a website that has a line you like and cut/paste it on to your section end or create your own in a drawing package.
Or insert a symbol and repeat the symbol for the required length you want. Not elegant but the diamond shape repeated a few times then centred is OK
Why not just hold down the underscore key to make a line ?

Cos the bit was cut off in the middle of a scene and I needed a symbol that kind of said "to be continued"! a line wouldn't be that clear!
