Smacks of the firearms ban. Knee jerk reactions as usual from a bunch of ******** in Government that arnt fit to manage a chimps tea party let alone a country.

Honestly have you heard anything so rediculous, oldest trade in the book etc etc.

The real problem is this pathetic bunch of t*ssers are unable to protect our borders so they look for something else to blame.

Do they honestly think that by making it illegal it will stop.

Get to the real worl woman you will just encourage even more child prostituion and abuse of young people.

Oh yes, forgot. This is the lot that bought in the act to b*gger young boys.

Says it all really
Has she not heard of the prohibition era in the USA?
er, what act was that, hotlardlife?
I think it should be legalised. At least they could start paying some tax and add to the economy.

As far as I can see, its just a career choice for some ladies like any other. Some days I have such a sh* te day in the office that 30mins prostitution to earn the same amount of money begins to seem like a better idea.
At my age (52) though, I guess I would have to pay the guys !!
Silvercat???

I'm liking you :)
I think he's talking about the lowering the age of consent for shirtlifters to 16.

Yes jno, flip-flop is correct. It is interesting to note that they were so determined that 16year olds be on the list for their gay friends that they made use of the extremely rare device, the Parliament Act! I give you the Labour Party!
Here we f*cking go....
What is a prostitute?

Could not the actresses, glamour girls, models etc. that hang around the Film/Stage Directors/Producers, celebrities. footballers, rich and powerful older men etc. for a life of plenty or the furtherment of their careers also be so called?

And are not these guys in some way paying for sex?
Where are you f*cking going Quinlad?

The current laws are crazy. It's illegal to both kerb crawl and solicit. But the actual act of having paid-for sex is not against the law. But how do you arrive at the transaction without soliciting or kerb crawling in the first place?

To me there are various arguments for and against the full legalisation of prozzyism but I certainly do not believe in making it fully illegal. No doubt Harman thinks she's striking a blow for women's rights but it's a very complicated issue.

One intriguing aspect of the degate is the view that regulating the industry is a good thing etc.
But the one thing the makes sex boring is regulation! Many punters no doubt like the anonymity of it all and might be scared off from going to a registered brothel, with a registered prostitute and no doubt a CCTV'ed client list. There'll probably always be a stigma of paying for sex and men with loving wives at home would not want to visit an establishment that could identify him more easily than a backstreet transaction.
