I have been sitting using my laptop, leaning forward to my jumper has crept up...I had an itch on my back, so I went scratch it and discovered that my lower back is FAT!! No joke, I didn't realise that I had a flabby back. I've always had a bit of a tum, but this is just horrible. It's just really flabby and horrible! What's the best type of exercise for this area?

That's not funny! I eat 3 well-balanced meals a day, and no snacks but don't really exercise
I apologise, it was a joke.

Steps is a good idea, also can you hula hoop? it is a good way of burning fat around the stomach and lower back area. If not twists from side to side are good. Daffi x
Spot fat reduction is medically impossible, hulahooping will not burn fat from that area, it might tone it up but only your body will decide when it will lose weight from that area. Dieting and excercise will help it shift faster and excercising a particular area will build the muscle but not shift the fat on top of it. Cardio and a better diet are what you need.

Steps are ok as long as you don't have bad knees or already have legs like a rugby player.
Oh and walking 5kms a day is great but make sure you are actually getting a sweat on whilst you do it. You need to be getting your heartbeats into the fat burning zone.
