Am currently being frustrated by the inability of staff at the DVLA to appreciate the urgency of my application for a replacement licence i applied two weeks ago as i need it for a new job i hope to start this Monday they are not very helpful has anybody else been in this situation ?

They are rubbish.

I got done for speeding and didnt send the latest version of my paper licence to them. I a said that was the latest version I had and just to print the details of the points on there. They cancelled my licence instead so it will cost me 22 quid or whatever it is to renew. if the bloke who I spoke to had been local I would have gone and twa##ed him lol
i waited ages for a decision by a dvla doctor whether i could continue to work as a hgv driver (even though a consultant had declared me fit and well)

luckily my dr was prepared to continue giving me sick notes for the time i was waiting.

i phoned them every day to check for any progress and they werent helpful at all!

My mate is going thro the same as Baz 2 months its been going on and he cant work
you should try working in the insurance industry - they're bloody useless.
