had one fitted about 4 weeks ago. very painful at the fitting, even worse that night. excruciating period. non stop spotting, constant period pain on right side only, that sometimes gets so bad i feel sick and 2 lots of antibiotics for suspected infections. should i give up on it when i go and get my threads checked? came off pill after 20 years because i thought i ought to stop falsely feeding hormones to my body, but i aint sure its worth it. ;o(

Do go and get it checked out. This does not sound right.
You are not supposed to know it's there.
You are open to infection more with the iud, make sure you go to the doc's asap. maybe try the implanon it is just as good if not better and less painful to have put in, i have had the coil iud then the marina iud then the implanon and i think the implanon is the best.
