Removin gloss from a carpet

Hi I not sure if I've posted this in the right place but I just wanted to no if anyonecan help!
Last night I stuppidly walked bright white gloss all the way up my stairs on a deep red carpet and to top it off I walked round in circles in my hallway askin the kids 'who the bloody hell's stood in paint and walked it all over the place' lol! Does anyone no how I can remove it? I only finished putting the carpet down yesterday tea time lol

use clean cloth dipped in white spirit and then uphostery / carpet cleaner.

Try rubbing it with sandpaper when it's dry although that might only work with emulsion paint. Otherwise it's an insurance job!
