does anyone know of any good and interesting ruins in the uk? something unusual or something like Epheues in turkey.
im in my final year of a degree in computer game design and need something interesting and old to restore as a 3D model

Absolutely - the Wemyss Caves near Buckhave, Fife, Scotland (near where I live). Featured in BBC's Time Team. Ancient caves scrawled with mysterious Pictish symbols which to this day haven't been understood.
Also in Scotland there's the Clava Cairns near Nairn, Callanish on Lewis, Skara Brae in Orkney and some good books around with lots of detailed sites.
Roach Abbey near Doncaster in Yorkshire would be ideal for that.
