Wondering if you guys can help me! I've just got 2 new cats, both around 6 months old and gorgeous from the local cat santuary! One's male, neutered and the other's a female also spayed and are up to date with vaccinations!

I know it's early days but they were so lively when I got them and now seem to hide behind the sofa all the time! Is there anything I can do to get them to feel at ease with me and my partner?

Thanks!!

Keep the room quiet and give it time (might take a few days)
speak softly when you talk to the cats

They are probably just a bit scared, or something has scared them
They'll be OK - kittens are nosey, and they'll soon venture out to explore. Give them time, they'll soon be driving you up the wall!
Smother yourselves in tuna. They'll be all over you.

Good one Lucy although you weren't too far off as I made a fish curry last night and as we sat down to eat, guess what? the cats came running out!!

After alot of talking, they seem to be fine and were playing quite happily and chasing each other around the living room this morning so that's a great sign!!

It's only been 2 days but I think they'll be fine so thanks everyone!!
