puddicat,
I can safely assume that you do work in the Care Sector.
I don't like to generalise normally, but certain aspects or workplaces that we work in can get to this situation.
Just stay calm tomorrow and as you have said, You have written some things down to bring to the attention to your Line Manager.
I would not be discussing this with anyone and just tell your colleagues it is not allowed to be discussed, whatever the outcome may be.
I can relate to what you are saying, a few may spout at team meetings and them others sit and say nothing until they leave the room, then they start. Do not be fighting anyone's battles for them. let them all complain if they have a grievance. Just put across your point, and a valid one you have too.
You obviously care very much for your Residents and I am sure your Manager is aware of the good workers and not so good workers.
I always say, if someone thinks by going off work for one reason or another, it is not their Employers it affects, it affects their colleagues workload and also the Residents.
Tell your manager that you put your Residents first, unless a ral crisis comes up then you would be as understanding as anyone else.
Got to say, I would get fed up also of having scans pushed in front of my nose every minute of the day. Tell your manager the day you stop caring about your Residents is the day you would look for alternative employment. Make sure you are calm and collected, with abit of humour thrown in. x

cruella not elderly, really ****** off now some pal that i thought was there for me isn, she is getting bonbarted
Like I said puddi
Okay, so maybe they are not elderly.
That does not alter the fact that you are facing whatever tomorrow because, I presume someone reported you. Ther is so much back stabbing in Caring, possibly over the whole spectrum of any workplace.
Trust no one puddi. Be friendly, social, but as I said in an earlier thread, do not discuss with anyone what the outcome of tomorrow is. One word and it goes around and before you know where you are, everything has been taken out of context.
I am sure when you explain everything to your Manager, she will understand and belive it or not, Managers often DO know what is going on in the workplace.Your Manager is under pressure to sort this out if there has been a complaint, but I am sure she will already know what is going on and have he own thoughts on things. She just has to be seen to interview you and anyone else involved, then hopefully, end of story. x

thanks cru
No probs puddi
All the best for tomorrow.
I am on days off, so post a link to let me know how you get on.
Go in there smiling, confident and tell it the way it happened.
Tell no-one anything after it.
I work in the Care Sector all ages and disabilities and I always tell staff not to discuss what is said behind closed doors.
Give them nothing to talk about puddi.
Managers do know what goes on, as I have said, so give your side of things. I am sure everything will turn out okay.
After all, tell your Manager that you want the best for your clients and all this will spill over to them.
That is something you would not want to happen and tell her that. Also let her know that you are a good team player and hope to carry on in this way. Not everyone pulling in different directions.
Everyone's goals should be the same.
Go tell them gal! Good Luck! x
Just a footnote,
If you get the chance, also tell your Manager that you do try to see other people's points of view, but that you also have high standards and good work ethics and had hoped that others would try to see yours.
Good Luck.
I didn't mean to come across as patronising, but there was no need to jump down my throat.

I'm sorry if you were only looking for answers that didn't annoy you or disagree with your point of view.

I'll know better than to reply next time.
