Disconnecting

When coming off the internet and befor closing down there was always a dialogue box saying: 'Do you wish to disconnect or stay connected' and was checked accordingly . At the moment I'm right clicking the little monitor icons in the bottom right hand corner and disconnecting - Is there any way I can get back to the original and much quicker way? Thank you.
