bored or depressed?

so, whats the borerline between bordem and depression? or are the two linked? why am i asking? well, i get bored, very quickly, very easily. then i go down hill, cant think anything positive, and find it "very" hard to care about anything at all. so...am i depressed? or just so bored im lacking energy to care?

Generally speaking. from my viewpoint, Boredom is when you can't find anything to do, and can't really be bothered, and Depression is basically the same, but with the added ingredients of worry, eg, a problem or problems that you can't see a way out of, and it gets you down to the extent that some people, to the extreme, may take their own lives.

So yes, they are related, but at either end of the scale.
Boredom is not having/taking any interest in doing things that surround you, to distract yourself. Depression is probably the fact that you cannot have/take interest in those things as you lack the focus and are too stressed to distract/lose yourself in other things.

Boredom and apathy, are things we all go through, like lack of motivation.

But depression, is something different. Getting out of bed can be an achievement. Facing each day.

Depression is a terrible thing. Its a black hole that sucks you into it.
