help with history homework please

cananyone help please, my daughter has to do some work on a topic 'to what extent was castlereagh a hero or a villan' is totally stuck in school with this, any help would be very gratefully received, thanks

Castlereagh was also known as Robert Stewart, Viscount Castlereagh, & the 2nd marquees of Londonderry.

He was seen by his countrymen as a traitor, because of his politics & mixing with the English upper classes. He became
paranoid killed himself.

He was looked on by whom as a traitor ?

Castereagh probably thought he was British (Ireland being West Britian, yeah I know)
The Duke of Wellington was also Irish and dont forget to include.....A man may be born in a stable, but it doesnt make him a horse

Actually he was lord Londonderry when he committed suicide, and it was the BIg Thing for 1822 (1821's big thing was the failed divorce ofthe king). One of the main sources is Lady Lieven's letters to Metternich. Lady Lieven was wife of the Russian Ambassador and Metternich wasnt Russian he was Austrian.

Londonderry was depressed when he killed himself - bursting into tears at odd times including in front of the King, and also thinking he had committed crimes (wh he hadnt or couldnt have). The one he had in his befuddled mind was the SIn of the Bishop of Clodagh. The prot Bishop of Clodagh had er been kissing a sailor. & was caught. Amusing cartoons were sold showing them, um kissing

An inquest was held but if the verdict were suicide, then the Prime Minister would have to beburied at a cross roads with a stake thorugh his heart (still the common law at that time). I can't remember if they changed the law or brought in a verdict of accident.
