Hi.

This is a random question I know but I was wondering if sky let you join even if you have a bad cradit rating?

I was a sky customer for over 3 years and when we moved to our flat in July I had to cancel as we couldn't have it in the building (I was gutted). I've had a very poor credit rating for about 2 or 3 years now but only missed one or two payments with sky and no problems towards the end. The poor credit is from other things. When I left sky I got a letter saying I could rejoin with no subscription but I think that means you need your old equipment and viewing card?? I don't know if I have my viewing card anymore. Also when I look at my credit report on experian, Sky doesn't even come up on there??

Anyone know much about this stuff??

The only way you will find out is by asking them. I know it is sometimes embarrassing to make these kind of phone calls but they can either say yes or no. It`s not as if you are talking to them face to face,so if you really want sky you have no alternative but to do it. Best of luck.
Sky are not a creditor - they are providing a service that you are paying for. They won't appear on your credit report and they won't conduct a credit check on you. The only issue that may affect your ability to get an account with Sky is you previous relationship with them. If they stated that you can come back then there is a very good chance that you'll have no problems.
