Obviously, your doctor is the person who can best answer this.  But as a rule, a cyst is benign, and doesn't cause any physical trouble unless it continues to grow and presses against something vital, like a blood vessel or a nerve; or if it's growing between your brain and your skull and is taking up valuable space.  Usually, though, if that's the case, you'll have symptoms - pain or numbness if it's affecting a nerve, dizziness or faintness if it's choking off a blood vessel, etc.  If you feel any pain or discomfort, consult your doctor immediately!

If your brain tumor was benign, and you had no complications from surgery, there's no reason that that should affect your life expectancy.

Hi pompey,  You have had a very good answer from Ouish.  I would add that from your previous postings you sound a very healthy young man, but if this is worrying you then go and have a chat with your doctor and get your mind put at rest, then you can go on and enjoy your long life without these thoughts in the back of your mind.

cheers u 2 for giving complex answers, much appreiated.

Thumbs up to the answers from Ouisch and Fakeplastic - I agree wholeheartedly.

Hi, as Fakeplastic says, by your previous postings you sound healthy enough, I remember teenage angst!!  Don't miss the good stuff by reading too much into things and over analysing, enjoy!
Pompey ....get busy...dont waste time worrying.....plenty of time for that when ur old and wrinkled....look around....find something u enjoy and do it.... keep busy!!! Too much time on ur hands to think and worry will drive u bonkers...
Just forget it's there and get on with your life! I presume you have regular check-ups because of this anyway! Life is for living, not for worrying about what could happen. I have an inherited disease that could potentially shorten my life expectancy, but I have no symptoms now, and to be honest this is the first time I've thought about it for months! Just go have some fun!
