I am entering a song competition where the entry has to be a manuscript score on PDF- not Sibelius. Anyone got any ideas how I can do this? I have Sibelius but no idea how to get it onto a PDF!

You need Acrobat Writer to create PDF files - www.adobe.com - will cost about 100
Don't waste you money. You don't need to pay for any software to do this.

There are lots of programs on the web that will do the job for free. Try Googling "PDFCreator". Try some others if it doesn't suit you by googling "free pdf creator".
Assuming that Sibellius has a facility to print the score, just install a "pdf printer", select it in the Print Dialog and hey presto!

There are many PDF printers available - here's one:

If you have Office, you can save your work as pdf files, also in the free OpenOffice suite.
Depends on the version of Microsoft Office you are using Ethel. The option is not available in Word 2000 although I confess I'm not certain which version of Office was the first to have it. I know it's available in Office 2007.

Hi Rojash- I downloaded one but still have no idea how to get a sibelius document onto PDF!! Help please!
print it!

When you get the print dialogue box up, select the pdfwriter application that you downloaded and installed, as the printer to use. It will ask you for a file name and location to put it and, instead of printing it out, it saves the file in pdf format with the name you choose in the location you choose.
