Hello lovelies, thank you for your responses in my absence! Metz, nope, my friend who knows the family tells me the dog is a big softy, but my point wasn't that the dog was dangerous, it was just that they had threatened to set it on me.
sambro, yep definitely :S And totally unprovoked as well *sigh* some people! I am walking Jack up the lane rather than the street for now, but she apparently only visits there, rather than living there, now. So maybe we are safe from ranting middle aged women!
rox-I love Boxers! Jack doesn't though :( and we have no idea why! I think the most this dog may have done was lick us to death, but still! Humans, eh!

My partner went round, spoke to the son-in-law, they shook hands, came to a mutual understanding, and I just asked the police to log it, rather than take action for now. especially as she has apparently moved out. The son-in-law said he would have a word, and appreciated that Steve came to him first.
