Now that we are getting back into the cold weather to get hot water from the shower it has to be turned away up thus there is very little pressure coming out the head. The shower is fed from the cold supply. We are going to buy a new shower but want to know what sort of shower would sort out this problem e.g pumped ?

I had the same problem and bought a pumped shower. It has to be connected to the hot and cold supplies, which can be a problem.
Go for a 9.5kw power shower
Just wanted to add that if you haven't already it's probably a good idea to descale the shower head by leaving it in vinegar for a couple of hours because a scaled up shower head can make a huge difference to the pressure.
In addition to descaling the head, you may find that there are fine mesh filters inside the unit. Might be worth cleaning/replacing these. Assuming it is an electric shower with just a cold water feed ; Is your cold supply a reasonable pressure ? Is it fed directly from the main or from a loft tank ?
