Probably seems a stupid question - it does even to me.
My printer always prints in colour and I want to set the default to Black. Please can anyone tell me Where is the option to change the default? I have searched everywhere I can think of and nowhere is there an option to change the default from colour to black.
Thanks

It's going to depend on the printer but my HP all in one can be accessed from Control Panel, Printers, Default printer, then either Properties, Settings, Colour management OR right click on default printer brings up an option for printing preferences and greyscale can be chosen there. Good luck

Thanks for that. I also have a HP all in one but those options just aren't there. I've come to the conclusion the printer just cant do it.
Do you think its worth uninstalling and reinstalling?
well that would be my next step, make sure anti virus is shut down when re-installing
go into control panel and find your printer the options that are there are all you will get and the same ones you set one time per print just set up the options you want and they will be your defaiults
