I thought I'd seen it all but my 17 year old son has really done it this time! I went into his room yesterday and found that he'd moved his bed. I moved it back again and saw that a large piece of carpet (2ftx3ft) was missing from the middle of the room. It turned out he'd been sick on the carpet & rather than clean it up or tell me, he simply took a stanley knife and cut the stained, vomitty piece out.
He now owes me 300 for a new carpet AND he's grounded until he is an OAP.
Any more suggestions for punishments? (No thrashing suggestions please...he's 6'5" and I can't reach)

This wasn't as big an expense as your carpet mrs_overall but my son , now 23 , when he was 15 got a new golf club .He decided to show me how it swung .....!!! ......one expolded light bulb .....one wall clock ......and one ornament later he saw the error !
bigmamma, my son, now 16, blew all the electrics by swinging on a light fitting! Lucky for him it was only the lights that went out that day! heaven help us all with our kids no matter how old!! :-)
