see a medium? What did you think to it? Did anything happen - and if so, were you convinced, or was it just a waste of money?

seen hundreds...complete garbage
Yes, I have been.
It is not an experience, I would like to go through again.
Sat in a darkened room, with three other people, we were subjected to the most frightening sights and sounds imaginable.
Spirit like figures, about the size of a football, appeared from nowhere and were circling around us, making screaming noises, while at the same time, glancing by our faces, as though they were trying to attack.
By this time, everyone was overcome with fear and we were calling out, for them to leave us alone.
I think it only lasted about five minutes, but it seemed like an eternity.
Afterwards, the medium herself looked a bit shaken and apologised, as she had never seen so much spirit activity, in one session.

Interesting Wiz - but look at the reply from Cambus!!!
There are undoubtedly fraudsters and charlatans involved, but if you believe in the spiritual dimension, then there is the good and evil aspects of it to consider.
I do believe, and demonic activity is there for those foolish enough to go looking for it.

The demonic bit doesn't bother me, but I just wondered if anyone'd visited a medium and received any encouraging results.
"The demonic bit .... " is in fact the dangerous bit, whether or not you believe in a spiritual dimension. Your belief or lack of, does not effect their existence.
Tell me Theland, if spiritualism is demonic, then how come all ive ever found is utter garbage? You know about my life and how I spent years and years looking into religious / occult teachings and the paranormal. From attending christian meetings to attending seances and ouija board sessions, all Ive ever found is delusion and delusional people.
Any 'demons' would have had a field day with me as I was so open to the occult, but not a dickie bird from them.
Long before I was priested I saw a medium at the encouragement of friends.

I'm willing to share, but I'm going to need time to compose it. Perhaps later tonight.

shoul be interesting comin from a vicar...
Go to a spirtualist church Ice-Maiden. For a small charge of 3.00 you will get a reading from a genuine medium. I've seen various mediums over the years but most were charlatans and charged from 30 upwards. I went with a friend to a spiritualist church and the medium told me things only I could have known about family etc. She described my long deceased mother as if she was standing there by her! She also said mum liked our new sofa and curtains which we had bought about 3 weeks before. I still go just once a year, never the same medium but I always get a message. Try it.
The Bible prohibits necromancy, attempting to communicate with the dead.
The spiritualist church cannot justify its beliefs and practices from scripture.
It is another example of leading people astray from God, and should be avoided.
Wizard is used as a weapon to delude people into thinking there is no spiritual dimension.
Why should people fear what they do not believe in? Wizard is used to reenforce that unbelief, whether he likes it or knows it or not.
That is not a swipe at Wizard, who is a clever bloke, just my take on the facts as I see them in the light of scripture.
Wizard, what about my terrifying experience, are you saying I imagined it all?
Yep. You are obviously a buffoon. If you didn't imagine it then you were taken in by some kind of illusion.
cambus...what you describe sounds suspiciously like victorian parlour tricks that are popular with fraudulant mediums. You didnt imagine it but you have been silly enough to be taken in by a charleton.

Theland has been indoctrinated and is now used as a weapon to make people believe that there is an invisible sky daddy and that carpenters rise frome the dead and other absurdities. Theland promotes irrationality whether he likes it or not
This is not a swipe at Theland, who is very deluded, just my take on the facts as I see them in the light of reason
