Does anyone know how to make simulated cream thats used in doughnuts/devon splits etc.,?

Try this recipe for mock cream - blend one good tablespoon cornflour with quarter pint of milk. Bring to boil, stirring all the time, and cook for 2-3 minutes. Put on one side to cool. Cream 1 oz margarine and 1 oz sugar. Add cornflour mixture, spoonful at a time, to creamed margarine and sugar, beating very well. Add a few drops of vanilla essence.
