My friend of mine is pregnant at about the same amount of weeks as me, so we're both around 5-6 weeks. She has been having a tough time as she's in a bit of pain and has been having dark brown dircharge for over a week. She's been to see a doctor and they've don't blood tests and a internal scan, but have given another week of rest for her to get better and then to re-test to see if the baby is still developing. She seems very negative.

Thing is when she first rang me, I was very positive as I had a brown discharge during my last pregnancy and it turned out to be thrush, but the doctor disregarded her asking if it was.

My question is, do you think this is litely to be a misscarage if so, do I keep being positive with her that things will be ok or do I talk to her about what she already suspect?

I just feel awful and she is such a good friend. I just want to be there for her, but not sure how?

Thanks in advance x x x x

If I was your friend I would rather you stayed positive for me. I was petrified of miscarriage during the first few months of pregnancy (now 14 weeks with first) so totally understand where you're coming from. just be there for her and help her with her results what ever they are. there's not much else you can do. x

Yes I do agree with you Lorry, it's in my nature to be positive and up until now she has been very accepting of what i'm saying. I hope the fact that she hasn't worsened means it could be just one of those things and everything will be fine.

This is her second too and I think she may even be comparing her first pregnancy which went fine, but no pregnancies are ever the same! I'll keep being positive and go along with what her needs are. fingers and toes crossed x x x
