How can I find out how much the water rates are for a flat I am going to rent?

It is a council tax band A property in York, single occupancy, no water meter.

Are the charges listed on the Internet? I tried yorkshirewater.com but I couldn't find a list.

The rates for my 2 bed flat in Norfolk were about 40 per month.

BUT if you have reason why you dont think you are using that much they can assess it for you.

I didnt have a washing machine or dishwasher, the flat was only occupied by me and i had a bath once a day. They then recalculated it to be about 25 per month from what I recall. This was 2 years ago.
Phone them up - it's the only way to know for sure:

The water rates set by Yorkshire Water are based not on the council tax charges but on the rateable value (RV) of the property in question. Find out how much the RV of the flat is (the local valuation office will tell you this) and then multiply it by the current rates which are 95.7p per RV for water +31.87 annual standing charge. Sewerage charges are 104p per RV + 35.81 annual standing charge. For current charges google "yorkshire water scheme of charges".
