Favourite ever, although more of a comic actor than a comedian, must be Peter Sellers. Not sure who I'd pick for stand-up comics.

Favourites of the present day are undoubtedly Ross Noble and Bill Bailey.

Check out Steven Wright on You tube. Dead-pan (comes close to actually BEING dead) delivery but the crazy ideas are hysterical.

Not as good as Spike Milligan though - the funniest man who ever walked the earth.

I went to see Ricky Gervais at the Royal Albert Hall last night. He was brilliant. He may not be to everybody's taste but he was good. Definitly worth seeing.
