This morning I was in the shower room about to get ready for work and I turned my head to the right and something in my neck on the left side, made a grinding sound and sent pains down my neck on the left side and on my left shoulder muscle.

I went to the osteopaths this morning as I could barely move and she did some work on it and said the joints made contact and sent the muscles into a sort of spasm and now they are all tight. I have to go back on Tuesday. I don't feel much better.

Has anyone ever had this before and more importantly.. How long did it last?

I broke my collarbone years ago and i now getthe same symptoms as you i have a sock with hazelwitch inside i bought it from the chemist you heat it for 2 mins in the microwave and it really does help . This will probably last a few days before it eases another thing you can try if you have one is an infrared body massager.
By the way have not had any trouble for about a year now hope you feel better soon
Bless your heart Rubes. No I have never had anything wrong like that, so I can not comment. Are you wearing one of those giant sanitary towels around your neck?

I am sure it will soon pass, you being a healthy young individual.
Ive cricked my neck badly in the past and been hardly able to move it for anything up to a week.

I hope it eases soon
It must be your age lol
Sounds like a traopped nerve again Ruby, like the pain you had in your bum. I would seriously think about getting your back and neck stronger. Also you can get some brilliant chairs that aid your posture. That could help you.

Age! I am only 23 you g!t!

I don't have any collar thing on it. I need to keep it moving and alternate heat and ice on it but I am at work so it's difficult. But on the bright side.. I couldn't drive to work so I can get trollied afterwards and not have to worry about my car! Lol.

I have a lavender pillow thing at home that is for the microwave. I will do that when I get in.

No, not a trapped nerve Goody. Only happened when I moved funnily earlier. Doesn't feel good though. But I can tell it's getting better!
Dont get trollied and fall over! You will make it worse!
