Can anyone recommend a mouse poison that actually works ? Over the last few weeks we have had a lot of little visitors, I have spent over 40 on different poisons but there is still an invasion going on, albeit not as bad as it was. I have emptied all cupboards of everything and there is no food available for them to eat. Please help!!

Phone your council and use their pest officer they will put bait/ poison down that is probably stronger than over the counter stuff.
I had mice a few years ago and phoned the council.

They came three weeks in a row. Bait/poison was put down the first week, they came back the second week to check it / top it up and then the third week, the bait hadn't been touched so they knew that they had all gone.

If cost me about 25.
not the most pleasant way to do it but at work we use old fashioned mouse traps with a chocolate caramel on. works better than any poison.
Nothing works as well as the correct poisons!! The best poison is called "Sorexa CD" but most poisons will work if placed correctly and enough is put down.

Firstly you need to ensure that you buy enough poison for the job!! its no good doing it in bits and pieces, hit them hard in one fair swoop!!

for an average kitchen, I would place about 8 bait stations each one with about 2 egg cup full of bait (specific mouse bait) at points all around the kitchen or other room.

Mice are sporadic feeders, meaning that they will only nibble a little from each food source before moving on to the next, hence a lot of different poison sources all placed in quiet corners behind cupboards etc

replenish poisons every week or so until the job is finished.

We killed our mice we had in the loft, using chocolate or cheese on a mouse trap, we caught 10 altogether and have never been bothered by them since.
Borrow a cat.
dont use the 'sticky boards' eek, I did once when away for a weekend and they mouse had got stuck on the glue but not suffocated so it chewed a hole in my flooring and died a long agonising death as its feet were glued to the board - yuk
Glue boards should be banned, they are horrific things!!! I have seen rats and mice that have chewed off legs and tails to get away from them, totally sick!!!
