in a Church is always good, that would be your Parish Church or the Grooms parish church, after that, many places are licensed, including castles and theatres and hotels and football grounds, the best place to me would be castle Howard, if they do it.
A stately home where you can hire rooms out. You could have all day there where you and your guests can stay and there will be fab picture opportunities! not sure which one as I'm not from England, but you'll find them easy on net!
I think a church is always best!! I love churches and I'm an atheist!!

Not sure really. Weddings in churches can be lovely, but I sort of think it is not an honest thing to do if you don't actually follow a religion and belong to a church. After all, it isn't just a setting ... In a quiet corner of one of the beautiful castles in Ireland could be nice or in the ruins of an old castle somewhere on the Devon coast perhaps. Hotels can be so cold and commercial, so not so fond of those. Sorry I can't give you a specific suggestion. Hope you find somewhere really nice though. :o)
They have a licence at the Theatre Royal in Bath - you can get married on stage! Or the Pump Rooms, above the Roman Baths, which is a fabulous setting too.
My sister-in-law recently got married in a hotel in the Cotswolds. It was fab. The whole wedding party waas together before, during and after the ceremony, so mingling with each other was so much easier than the traditional church 'do'. The setting was beautiful, the ceremony was extremely touching (and everyone there felt 'part' of it) and the meal (closely followed by party!) was a proper celebration. Only my own wedding (just me and him in the caribbean, followed by a massive party when we came home) surpassed it - imho!
