I'm struggling too on that but it's connected with Clapham Common I think. Can't link it to 35 though
No 35 Is a London Bus between the two districts,I am at a full stop as to Who I am!
I thought it might be the number of Times/Sunday Times editors but there have not been that many.

Could it be as simple as a London Bus Driver - or a train driver ( the 35 bus teminates at Clapham Junction )
It terminates at Shoreditch in the other direction
The Man on the Clapham Omnibus.
Good one sjwato - hadn't heard that term for the man in the street. Can get on with other things now.

The answers are The Man on The Clapham Omnibus and John Walter, founder of The Times. 35 is the number of the Clapham bus which goes from Shoreditch via Liverpool St station, Elephant and Castle (the name deriving from the arms of the Company of Cutlers), Camberwell (the well of the crooked) to Clapham- where Samuel Pepys lived, as did John Walter
Excellent Sjwato
