Dashboard Adhesive?

I would like to put something on my car dashboard, the kind of thing that has a suction cup fitting, but my dashboard isnt a smooth finish. Any suggestions how to fit a suction cup on a slightly bumpy surface?

hi weeal - not sure how fussy it needs to be, but what about fastening the suction cup to a piece of plastic and then sticking the plastic on the dash with good old 'bluetack' or even using the good old bluetack straight on the suction cup - just a thought.

Use some clear silicone sealant on the dash and then put the suction cup on and then leave it sitting for 24hrs to cure then remove the air from the cup.

thanks all, never thought about blu tack I have some of that, if it doesnt stick enough I will try try the pad or silicone. Cheers folks
