What do you think of body piercings. I work in a secondary schools and two year 10's were showing me the belly button bars they had done over the hols. I couldn't have one cos I'm struggling to get rid of my belly and actually find my belly button :-(

I have a couple of tattoos so I couldn't complain if my kids wanted them when they get older, but would you have a piercing.

I must add I don't object to them as I suppose they can close up but is 14 a bit young to get them done?

errr...well I had been begging and begging to get a tattoo and my mums mates own the local tattoo parlour, so I went in with her and of course they knew there would not be any charges of assault brought against them so I had it done after hours. I recently had my feet tattooed, they look brilliant!

They are so busy making sure the kids have shoes instead of trainers that the kids get away with tongue ball !!They have to take eyebrow rings out or cover with a plaster and can't wear big earrings or other jewellery.
I thought piercings were going out of fashion now tattoos as well. Why don't the young ones make a fashion statement that no piercing and no tattoos are cool. I think ear piercing is ok I had mine done when I was 23....I know...but it was unusual when I was that age, my daughter had her ears pierced when she was about 14 but my reason was to be able to wear nice earings, which I do, but I can't see the point of tattoos and other body piercings I may get lot of negative replies but I think that it is now old hat to be covered in tattoos and the like.

I love to see tattoos on feet especially trailing leaves and flowers, but I have been told it knacks to have them done.!
My tattooist designed a one for the top of my back with a rainbow and stars to represent some miscarriage I had in the past. It is so pretty and the pain was worth it.
I know a 23 year old guy who is phit..... super fit, infact. He has zero piercings or tattoos but he would look so much sexier with some piercings and a big tattoe from his neck to his shoulder and down his arm....ohh and a little bit down his wings.

Have we got anyone here like that????/

You need a cold shower Goodsoulette!!!!!
I have both ears peirced 3 times,I did have my right nostril pierced but my fiance hated it so I took it out after about 6 years. I also have my belly button pierced...thats plenty for me. I love tattoos though,I have 4 and would have more if I thought my fiance would let me. A new tattoo parlour just opened in our village and hes banned me from going in :-(
Wow, Daffy you must really love him. I would be saying "on yer bike" for that lol
Me lol
I do love him Goodsoulette,I do keep thinking I might get another tattoo and deal with his anger afterwards though, the 4 that I already have are on my right ankle, left shoulder blade, right breast and my lower back....that one really hurt and took ages cos its quite big and detailed.
It seems for some reason to be more painful if you have two at a time. When I had my feet done, the second one hurt way more.
I think it's horses for courses. I wouldn't personally but I weep at a blood test so that would be the reason why. I would prefer a piercing to a tatoo though as (provided it isn't too huge) a piercing can close up/get smaller but with a tattoo you do have it forever (unless you get it lasered off) and I just don't think I personally would feel too great wandering around with one when I'm a golden oldy. But I don't dislike them though.
ps I do think 14 is young to have the belly button pierced...think it should be a case of ears until 16 or 18 and then go wild if you wish with them.
Im an oldie so I only have standard ear piercings, tho I did go for a second one about 10yrs ago. Unfortunately I could never get my earrings in without pain so I let it close up. My 21yr old daugter on the other hand has multiple ear piercings, navel and nose...AND she self-pierced her eyebrows at 16...OUCH! She has several tattoos-back,upper breast,belly...and a rather wide black band on her upper arm that she hates and hopes to have removed.....otherwise sleeves forever! lol
Hi fathead (and everyone else!) I love piercings, but my body doesn't :( So I have none...Had 2 holes in each ear, but they didn't work out, and nor did my nose (got both sides done, the left and then, when that didn't work out, the right, as I had wanted my nose pierced for so long I was determined to try everything!) But my body just rejects piercings. I think corsets look fabulous, GS, and would love to see a picture of yours when it's done!
As some of you may remember, I had my first tattoo 6 weeks ago. I love it, and may get another, or may leave it at one. I don't want to be covered, and I want my art to be original and significant, so I suppose it's a "special occasion" thing!

Each to their own :) I must say I see a lot of people with tattoos now, but I don't think it lessens their beauty (although some people abuse the idea!). I also see a lot fo pregnant women at the moment, but that isn't frowned upon!
My son is desperate to get his eyebrow done and didnt believe me that he should wait (he is 11) so I took him t my piercer who explained that he wont do it till he is 14, because of migration and the hassle from school, good for him I say.

I have my ears done (about 6 times) my scaffold which I love and am about to get my tragus redone as I had to take it out last time :-(

I love piercings and absolutely adore the corset one Goodsy!! Have always liked those
