I am thinking of buying a boat to stay on with my cat when I am visiting elderly neighbours. The best buy is a 26' cruiser but I am concerned my cat, a feisty twelve-year old neutered male ginger, will hate it. Does anyone have any relevant experience or advice?
I have also seen a narrow boat that I think he would prefer, but given the location (not many narrow boats) and lack of residential mooring I have been warned there could be problems when I want to sell it.
Thanks in advance for your help.

my uncle lives on a narrow boat and has had cats on it, the only major problem he's had is his most recent cat wondered off and they were unable to find it but this can happen when living in houses too, the only other problem he had was one of his cats jumped in the canal trying to get at some ducks but as cats can swim the cat managed to clamber out!
