Hi. I'm going to try and buy an old mini. What are your thoughts on which model/ year/ etc is the best old mini?

Is there much difference between the 1litre and 1.3?
I'm looking for a nipp little thing!!

Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.
Many thanks.

Hello,

I had a 1977 1275gt - It was brilliant! Defo go for the 1.3 because in such a small car its quick!

I suggest in you can find a 1275gt go for it, otherwise 1.3 sprite or cooper. What ever year always check the sub-frames as they are most prone to go. Other than that DIY is easy and garage reps are cheap!

Good Luck!
Good stuff!

Yes, I'd go for a 1275 too.

Haven't looked for Mini parts for ages, I assume there's still plenty around?
Yeah parts are readily available form garages or internet.

There will not be any problems getting the parts or someone to to any repairs you - as they are so easy to work on!
