I bought a new laptop for my granddaughter with Vista, it has Microsoft Office 2007 pre-installed on a 60 day free trial after the trial you have to purchase an activation key to get the full programme working. Has anyone purchased this key if so what was the cost. I paid a lot of money for the laptop i don't want to fork out another 100 or more for a key to get a programme working.

Thanks Bob

Get Open Office from www.openoffice.org, its free, and is compatible with Microsoft Office.
life is tough (you should know that by now).

it's like buying a house .. then you have to buy furniture.

like mattie says the only way out is to go for open office which is free ...

Not only is OpenOffice.org free, but also if you're already experienced with earlier versions of Office, you'll probably find that it's more intuitive in use than Office 2007.

You don't have to, but you might as well since it's only a trial program.
