Hi folks, a friend has just called me to ask if I saw the prog on ITV1 last night (9pm) about "motorists getting their own back", i.e. getting out of paying yellow box fines etc. The question is this. If you saw the programme then what was the title of the book which was mentioned near the start of the prog? I've tried looking for it on amazon and I think it may have been one of these

http://www.amazon.co.uk/s?ie=UTF8&index=books- uk&field-keywords=Traffic%20regulations&page=1

Is it one of these or can you remember the title of the book?

My frind is calling me back tomorrow and I want to be sure to give him the correct book title. Incidentally can't look up the prog on the net as "ITV listings are now unavailable due to legal reasons" so I can't even find name of last night's prog!

All help much appreciated! Thanks in advance folks.

sorry don't know which book

but the programme was called Driving Me Crazy - Jennie Bond. was the presenter.
1) how is getting out of paying a fine "getting your own back" you are in no better position than previously
2) why should people get out of paying fines for their stupid driving?

as you can probably guess, i dont know the book either, sorry!
bednobs is right - people like you make me sick. I can't tell you the amount of times cretins have blocked MY right of way because they got their driving licence out of a xmas cracker and can't obey the rules - yellow box = don't enter unless it's clear to go through. Is it that difficult? Morons.
It wasn't yellow box fines, it was parking retrictions and parking bays. If they are not painted properly ie. incorrect dimensions then they have no legal standing and a parking fine cannot be imposed.

It was not my intention to enter into a discussion about my or anyone else's driving habits! I was simply doing a favour for a friend.

Yes, I have made a mistake and been told by my friend that the topic of the prog was "parking" and not "yellow boxes i.e. driving". But if you'd read my message correctly you'd have realised that 1) I didn't see the prog and 2) I am NOT trying to get out of paying any fine.

Incidentally if either of you parked somewhere that wasn't clearly signposted and got a ticket, I'm sure you'd be the first to complain!

I ( and I'm sure a lot of other people) would appreciate you not sticking your noses in when you don't have anything constructive to say! In fact I hope you both get parking fines!

Hi, Sigma, Many thanks for clearing up the issue here, i.e. the topic of the prog. Did you catch the name of the manual, by any chance? Help much appreciated. C
