The first one is Russian, so I am excluding it?
Cannot decide then between remaining two.

Chambers gives both, but seems to prefer Cardamom.

The crossword says that it takes its spellings and definitions from Collins English Dictionary, which I dont carry.

Thank you, Aquagility, for such a prompt response. I am going to go with the Chambers preference.
Like you, Starmack, I don't have Collins, but the Shorter Oxford and Bloomsbury agree with Chambers and prefer cardamom
