I think you have to accept that cats don't see it as 'your' house. To them it's merely part of the landscape in their territory or intended new territor, so if a door is open then they'll consider it fair game to investigate if they feel so inclined. That's why I think cats are great :) My neighbours' cats often wander in and out at will and it doesn't bother me a jot. I just have to check my 'visitors' aren't indoors when I go out :)
get your own cat
either get a doog or get human hair and put it in a sok and put it were th cat is entering it will deture them this also works for foxes
Phantaxus ... we have 2 cats but it doesn't stop other cats coming in the house for a nosey if the door is open. In fact, one comes in quite regulalry cos he fancies my female cat (fixed of course). He waits at the window for her and when I let her out they go off and play in the garden!! Ain't love grand.
