Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Finally done it! Many thanks to cruciverbali, matydalover, mad max, crofter and novalis (+ anyone else who helped me) - could not have managed without you. Maybe next week will be 3rd time lucky and I won't need to have the glaringly obvious pointed (or .ed) out to me. Off to walk the dog in my +4s.

Pleased you persevered with it. There's always a sense of having achieved something, whether or not you've had help, when you finish EV. Masochist that I am it's the crossword I most look forward to each week.

I echo those sentiments. I started 13 grids ago and have submitted 10 completed with help in the early days. It DOES get a little easier and the standard is highly variable.
I have yet to see a theme repeated ~ each one has been different. In the beginning, I made a pledge on AB that ONE DAY I shall win EV! I still live in hope!

What comes across Physicsgirl are your enthusiasm, dedication and perserverance! These are qualities admired by the EV regulars on AB.

The whole reason I was so determined in the first place was because someone on AB told me I was leaping way out of my league - took that to mean I didn't have a chance and that made me mad! So inadvertently they helped me, too. If I ever get it finished in time for the post (not likely), and if I ever did win (never send them off anyway), will split the �15 between my mentors (that's you lot) and lend the pen to anyone of you that asks. In my dreams ......

well done , some weeks I hardly get started on any of the crosswords I attempt as obviously they vary, but this week completed all 3 that I look at ,EV ,LISTENER & INQUISITOR regards mm
ps inquisitor is usually easier in my opinion

I started cryptics a year ago since someone at work photocopies the guardian every day and we usually do quite well. My husband bought me The Times jumbo cryptics book last Christmas and I usually do the Sunday Telegraph cryptic. Recommend the book! How many EVers use AB? I count about 5.
