I cook pork chops in the oven with a little water and cover with foil. After half an hour or so take off the foil and brown the chops (about another half hour). They should cut with a spoon. You can batch cook them and freeze singly so you can take them out one at a time for a quick meal. Cook sliced potatoes and onions in a little water or stock in the oven at the same time or simply put the chops on top like a hot pot. A slow cooker is a good investment for very tender slow cooked meat, and cheap on electricity too.
