but i have bought a pair of BERTIE shoes from myself a month ago ready for the holiday. They are a red and white canvas peep toe pump with a leather lining but synthetic upper and sole. they are a fab shoe and though I had them in they were actually a transfer in from the gatwick store.
Anyhow, they smell like they have been in a fire, i noticed this on the first day i brought them home but didn;t take alot of notice and left them in the air, i couldn't work out what it was. i have now had a look at them again and they smell just the same, like they have been in a fire. i can't work out what is wrong, i sell loads of Bertie and never came across this. Anyone else come acroiss this prob? IF A CUSTOMER WERE TO BRIBNG THESE BACK I WOULD ASK THEM HAVE THEY BEEN IN A HOUSE FIRE!
