Is it possible to upgrade my LCD monitor?

I have a "didi-t" LM14XV analogue LCD monitor originally in use with a PC. Apparently mine is a only basic model, because the handbook shows that in addition to the VGA connection there are options (not fitted to mine) for "s-video" "video" and "audio" input connections.
As usual with such things the "manufacturer" has out-sourced all support. The only traceable support is [email protected], but, when I ask about upgrading with the options, the reply is a Germanic "message deleted unopened".
I suspect that the electronics for the options has been mass-produced into my "basic" monitor, only the connections not provided. Does any one know whether my suspicion is correct or not, and whether I could simply connect and fit, for instance, an "s-video" receptacle to it?

It's very unlikely that all the electronics are there, and I very much doubt that there is an upgrade option.

The manufacturers just economise by producing a single manual that describes all the models in the range.
