Lets look at Muktar Ibrahim, one of the bombers given a 40 year prison sentence a few days ago.
He came here as an asylum seeker in 1990 but was soon involved in crime and finished up getting a 5 years prison sentence in 1995.
Just 30 months after being let out of prison he was given a british passport !!.
He used it once, to go to Pakistan to learn how to be a terrorist.
Are we stupid or what !
I am sure millions of law abiding foreigners would love to come here and be given a British passport, but we decide to give one to a man who was involved in a string of criminal offences and served 5 years in prision.
Surely a British passport should be EARNED, not given away to any piece of scum that turns up on our doorstep.
I used to love being English, and living in England. I was proud of our country and would defend it to the hilt.
I am now ashamed and embarresed to be living here and feel our politicians, both Tory and Labour, have let us down big time.
No wonder so many British people go to live abroad.
Many hard working British people have taken their money and pension and are now living abroad and spending their money in other countries.
Meanwhile those of us who are still here are seeing our taxes paid to keep scum like Muktar Ibrahim on the dole, and in prison.
It makes me sick, but I feel powerless to do anything about it because the 3 main parties act as though there is no problem.
A vote for any of them means this sort of thing will just carry on.

Some of the posters here express the opinion that politicians from both Labour and Conservatives have ruined this country and in doing so fail to meet the needs of the indigenous population.
Despite efforts by all the major political parties to more accurately reflect the widespread population, attempts to do this have failed on the whole. The majority of the politicians are born Brithish, white males from releatively to extremly affluent backgrounds. Even if they are the most self serving people in the country, why would it serve them to 'hand' over this country to fundamentalist Muslims and Eastern European's here to seek employment.
Unless of course the conspiracy therory is correct. Our politicans are actually sleepers of Muslim countries just activated or one time sort of Lebensborn from Easten Europe, and the country will be taken away from us and we will be forced to become expats in Spain.

Maybe we should look to other countries for how a country should be run. Take Russia which has received such bad press recently. Putin has put his country first even if it gives Russia a bad name. He has made sure that wealth owned by the country such as oil and gas are controlled by Russian companies such as Gazprom. All foreign nationals have been given notice to quit Russia so that work is more freely available to its own citizens. The standing of Russia in world affairs is approaching that of the USA and no one can ever take them for granted. And all within the space of about 5 years.
JNO the revitalisating of Russia has only occurred during the Putin era when he was elected some 7 years ago. Mavericks in the FSB are no different from those found in MI6 ie compare Livenyenko with the Princess Diana fatal crash: different strategies, same end result.
Blair made the fatal mistake of not putting Britain first so the mess we are now in. Appeasement to Bush and the neo-cons have relegated Britain to be just lackeys of a superpower. Brown will unlikely ever to make the same mistake again.

5 years ago i saw this coming and i moved abroad, I now live in the canary islands and the only 'terrorists' i know of are the local Timeshare touts.
Living in a country other than your own should be a one sided thing, with only those that would benefit the country allowed in. whats happening now is the complete opposite.
It should be like poker, If you bring nothing to the table, you just cant play the game.

enoch powell forecast this mess 40 years ago, we should've shut our borders then. in many countries you cannot start a business without employing nationals, in thailand i think its 10 nationals must be employed, you just cannot go and open a bar start a building company or whatever without employing nationals. i live in southampton and feel like a stranger in my own town, surrounded by poles, latvians, etc, this cannot go on, enough is enough, trouble is if you speak out against it you are classed as being racist, i'll be looking at what the bnp has to say at the next general and local elections.
