Does anyone know where I might buy very tall free-standing CD racks, preferably as "unadorned" as possible? I've tried just about everywhere and they're either revolting faux-wood thingies or only hold 50 odd CDs. I'm hoping for 100 - 200 in each tower. Any help appreciated...

Do you have an IKEA near you? They are very good at unadorned items, and they do have some very tall cd storage systems - they will not be high quality wood though!

Thanks, kags. I did look at IKEA but they didn't quite cut the mustard. I probably didn't make it clear but I'm specifically *not* looking for wood-effect items; preferably they'll just be a 'spine' of metal/plastic so that all you see is the CDs themselves. Maybe I'm just fussy...
Habitat.
I used to buy these CD towers in Boots. They came in a block of 25 and just clipped together making the tower as high or as low as you wished.
That's odd - my reply should be at the bottom.
Argos?

I got a really good upstanding metal rack from Habitat a few months ago for about 17 - holds 48 CDs - not sure if they do them anymore though but may be worth a try?
Try the holdingcompany, they are a v good storage company. they are on the internet too.hope this helps Baljit
I had massive problems when looking for a CD rack of a similar style. In the end I decided to dump the notion and go with something different. Using square CD racks I built storage for 188 CD's.

This was not the cheapest way to do things but the effect was good.

I brought my CD racks from Haven Direct.
