Corsa diesel oils

I recently purchased a Vauxhall Corsa 1.3 TDCI,being a diesel must I use a desiel specific engine oil and which viscosity,its a 2005 registration,mineral,synthetic oil?

your handbook will tell you but i would say a 10w/30 should do, a good motor factor will be able to check for you to see which oil cross references for your vehicle.
A 10/30 will be ok for uk climate, go for semi synthetic .
look at the lettering after the API code s/c means it will do for both petrol and diesel (s=spark ignition, c= compression ignition or diesel.)

Use a fully synthetic oil on the Corsa turbo diesels - not sure which viscosity so check with halfords or Vauxhall.
