Torch Lilly flowers

I have some Torch Lillies, where the lower heads have now died. I am a total novice at gardening, and want to know whether I should break the heads off, or the entire stalk? When will they re-flower again?

Hi Sammylad, Torch lily or red hot pokers belong to the Knphofia lilies. to encourage more flowers cut off the whole flower spike as the last flowers fade.
