something ive pointed out on corrie

Im just nagging really but has anyone noticed they are using brand names, celebrity names recently?

for example in the last week alone they have said "brokeback mountain, (a magazine name what i have forgot lol), George Clooney, Hobnobs...etc

thought i would just point that out...

Does it matter?!
Brokeback Mountain means a film to me, not a magazine.

I would find it hard to go a week without mentioning a brand name, or a known person, a film and so on.
It is probably a new set of younger writers who are more used to naming brands, films etc in their day to day life which follows in their writing but which jars with previous writers who would write in a "soap bubble"..........or something!
They never used to be allowed did they unless the show was being paid to advertise a product?

I haven�t noticed that so much, but what was all that crap about recycling and leaving your TV on standby conversation for? It felt like one of those �Charlie says� public information film for nursery school kids.
