god uses people to much he uses them like people use each other. look at samson a person always overlooked in the bible and in bible study. He was supposed to be a champion for god he was given super strengh as a gift. he also had anger issues and often abused his powers that god give him. God give samson life and his gift knowing full well what he would do. With great power comes great responablilty it seems to me that god created samson for the sole purpose of using and abusing him. Samson fell because of his love for a women. satan on the other hand as not abused people or use them in anyway he may influance people but that is not the same as abusing them i am not saying that god controlled samson with a remote controll but the way he controlled him was by giving him super strengh and knowing that he would do what he did samson was really diff from gods other servents like moses and judith.

Just assuming that there really is a God, and assuming that the Biblical description of events is correct, (I'm talking Old Testament), the God Has created Humans to be his servants,

Don't do what he wants, and you get punished.

Don't worship him and sing his praises, you get punished.

Samson was naughty with Delilah, God made him commit suicide, regardless of the reasons.

You could say that God is the ultimate control freak
But then you could also look deeper and find a God that truly cares about you as an individual, who promises a fulfilling life if you enter into a relationship with Him.
The fact is, do you really really believe that you are never ever going to stand before Him to give account of yourself?
No? Then you haven't got a problem I guess.
Theland, you say that god promises a fulfilling life if you enter into a relationship with him, but would you say that your life is fulfilled? I ask since on other threads you've indicated that it isn't.
Naomi - Well observed. I do have to deal with a lot of problems, usually always other peoples I might add. So, is my life fulfilled? No, if you mean do I do what I want to do, but yes if you mean do I have the satisfaction of knowing that despite drawbacks and problems, I'm staying the course and finding the strength to do what is right. Usually quite exhausting and time consuming. No, I'm not claiming martyrdom here by the way.
