hell no
It's so simple.
If you want to know what life would be like if the country was handed over to the BNP all you have to do is read "The History of the Third Reich."
Congrats cucuhullan on your fine and well rounded debate on the forementioned topic. Unfortunately, your arguement is slightly flawed. The unions have spent hundreds of thousands of 's over the years distributing various leaflets depicting the BNP as nazi's, fascists, racists etc in the hope of stopping any support for them. Yet support still grows! They are winning more council seats, standing in more elections and gaining credability. Most of the candidates are in fact normal people and NOT nazi's!!!
What you have to remember is that this is not just a 'british' trend. It is all across europe (front national in France, Vlams Belang in Belgium, NPD in Germany etc). Just because you may or may not agree with a party's policies that doesn't neccessarily mean they are right or wrong. All you are doing is reflecting your own personal opinion. Its called 'democracy' or 'democratis' which is a latin word 'demo' meaning peoples and 'cratis' choice (excuse my latin as I never studied it but the theory is correct). Now the key word is choice. The BNP is actually creating democracy by increasing the choice for the electorate. In the end the people will choose and maybe one day it will be the BNP's turn. Are Spain and Italy such bad countries? After all, they were both under fascist rule relatively recently under General Franco and Mussolini (whose grand-daughter, Alessandra Mussolini is currently a MEP). Politics is a very complex subject and never is anything 'black or white'. To debate on matters of nationalism is complex and requires extensive research of past and present. Only when the arguement is lost that the insults and name calling of nazi, fascist, racist etc are thrown about.
Yeah right. Can I just remind you that the founder of the BNP somebody called John Tyndall was an avowed Nazi sympathiser who believed that the Holocaust never happened. When he died Nick Griffin paid him a fulsome tribute.I am not putting forward an argument I am simply exercising my democratic right and in so doing I am warning people of the dangerous claptrap put forward by people like your good self.Incidentally the first thing the Fascists did in Italy and Spain was to abolish Democracy. There is so much factual evidence regarding the thuggery of the BNP that it would be impossible to list even1% of it so I wont bother. Finally, you talk of Spain and Italy as fairly recently. How recent is 70 years ago.?
The day after Franco died The Monarchy was restored in Spain and as for that guttersnipe Mussolini, his own people strung him up.Still he did get the trains to run on time. You have no idea how happy I am that your beloved BNP will never have any power in my lifetime and nothing will ever eradicate from my heart a deep and burning hatred of it.Just imagine .Great Britain run by a bunch of skinheads
Do me a favour.
Franco always had the intention of returning the country to monarch rule. It would be a oppressive communist state if he had not done what he did. The civil war there was bloody but he saved spain actually.
As for Tyndall, i'll agree he was a self proclaimed nazi which is probably why the BNP are stigmatised in such a way. Again history of politics is complicated because all them years ago wasn't it the Labour party who were frowned upon and attacked in the streets, found it difficult to get venues etc. Now they are in a dictatership of power. Think people need to remember that history has a habit of repeating itself. Labour membership is plummeting while BNP membership is slowly rising. If the government was successful this would not be happening. But like i said before its not just britain. The peoples of all european countries are fighting back while the governments continue to push forward the marxist ideologies that is the E.U.. They have only themselves to blame for the rise of the far right.
You say that the EU has only itself to blame for the rise of the far right as if the far right is some malignant force, which of course it is .As for the far right in this country, all I see of it is skinheads parading provocatively usually drunk or drugged up to the eyeballs. Here's a couple of questions for you.
1 Despite all it's bluster and bravado there has never been even one "far right "candidate elected to the British Parliament under the banner of a "far right" political party .Not one.So when do you expect to see one elected .
2.How many BNP councillors are convicted criminals and how many have resigned since being elected because of criminality.
If you think that the megalomaniac Tyndall was the only Nazi sympathiser in the BNP then I genuinely feel sorry for you because it means that they have succeeded in their main aim which is to pull the wool over peoples eyes. They are now and always have been nothing more than a bunch of Fascist thugs.I am heartened by the knowledge that the people of this country will never allow them to prosper.
In answer to your questions my political nemesis I'll answer as honestly as I can to the best of my knowledge.

1. Elections depend on the current political climate at the time of the election. If there were to be another islamic bomb attack 1 week before the next general election I wouldn't be surprised if several BNP MP's were to be elected. If things remain stable it may take 2-3 further general elections before MP's are elected although this will be influenced by the successes/failures of the BNP at winning council seats and being succesful at local level. If people find them next to useless at local level then they will not vote for them at national level.
2. Trying to make out that only the BNP has convicted criminals in it is somewhat naive. There are several dozen LIB-LAB-CON councillors who are currently convicted child sex offenders, this does not mean the entire membership of these parties are all perverts does it?
Your comment on the 'people not letting them prosper' is not the case in Barking & Dagenham where the BNP are the main opposition on the council with around 12 councillors elected by the 'people' you speak of.
As for pulling the wool over peoples eyes, isn't it the Labour party that are now echoing the BNP with the 'multiculterism isn't working' stance and the now famous 'muslim veil' debate, and after the muslim riots in over 200 towns and cities last year in France allowing Le Penn's front nationale party to make gains from 17% to around 22% on poll studies. That 5% increase wasn't because of wool being pulled over anybodies eyes but a case of peoples eyes being opened as to the problems that could potentially lie ahead if things continue the way they were.
No.

And, as usual, a few mouthy unpleasant bigoted muslims in the papers and on TV is apparently the basis for saying they're "trying to take over" etc etc.

And the English are 'snobs'.

And thus it goes.
Are people really ignorant/naive enough to believe that the true colours of the BNP wouldn't come through if (God forbid) they ever did get power? Really? I guess so.

One thing I will credit the BNP with - they're not stupid. They know they wouldn't stand a cat in hell's chance at the polls if they made an issue out of their real beliefs. Did nobody see Roger Cook's expose of Mark Collett - a prime mover in the BNP ranks? Filmed by secret camera, his speech was littered with "p*ki this" and "n*gger that", and what he really thought of them. Are we to believe that he is alone in the party in these views? Are we to believe that the BNP has mellowed since that documentary? Not a hope. All this talk of standing up for "real British people" (translation = white people) and making Britain great again, and not going further than to talk about "voluntary repatriation" (and woe betide any dark-skinned types who don't "volunteer", I suppose) is just a political smokescreen that sadly seems to be fooling more people than it should. Replace "British" and "Britain" with "German" and "Germany" and it may start to ring a bell. After all, Hitler didn't rise to power on a manifesto of marching across Europe, killing his political opponents, or massacring millions of Jews - he got in by promising a better life for ordinary Germans. Told you it sounded familiar. I'm not suggesting the BNP would go as far as the Third Reich, but a wolf in sheep's clothing is still a wolf.

Still, as long as Nick Griffin gets the trains to run on time, eh?
Yes 100% Yes behind the BNP:-The truth hurts this is something that is now sadly lacking within in the Major Parties. Going by the current agenda being put forward by the major players alot of which looks remarkably like entries from the BNP Manifesto the Big Boys have rather alot to fear? The British people have for the last ten years been subject to Socio/Communism through the back door this country is now the most Undemocratic Democracy in the Western World and its NU-Labour led by B-Liar that has been responsible for it. Look at what has been lost to the EU for starters the benefits that we have gained for the monies that have been put in are in my opinion sadly lacking how have we benefited and even now papers are being prepared in Brussels to be signed by this man without consultation of the British Public giving even more away. We have a Nation that is virtualy Lawless at times with NO-GO areas as for Iraq the BNP were and are totally against it probably because alot of its members are former servicemen and women. The list just goes on and on its about time the smaller parties like the BNP did have some prominence in a real Democracy they would have?
