Has anyone met any of them? How do you know what they are like? Because of reports in the papers and on television? This govt don't like them because they might, one day gain power. Just that thought alone, losing power is enough to start alarm bells ringing for the Labour Party. So they set about a publicity campaign to try and discredit them. But the BNP still has the occasional success at the polls doesn't it ? Despite all the bad publicity. Why do you think that is?

(Cue massive knee-jerk reactions, they are all VILE RACISTS, of course I've never read their manifesto because they are all VILE RACISTS. How do you know? Shut up, I just do, I expect you are a member eh? BLOODY RACIST)
I have no issue with them. There's a left and there's a right. Makes the games more interesting.

I assume you'd like to retain your vote at the next election 10C? And your fertility?
with their policies on immigration and employment i agree that they may slowly get more and more power and im no racist but think that the country needs big changes and their ideas seem the best way forward

Some of my relatives are very high up in the BNP, but some people accuse them of being nazis, I know for a fact that lots of members are very intelligent people, such as university lecturers, clergy and high ranking civil servants, lots of members are just patriotic british subjects, of course it has its loonies and outright racists, what party hasn't? but whatever people say it is a legitimate political party and the way the UK is going it is going to go from strength to strength. now I will get called a racist. carry on I know what I believe. and I know fact from fiction.

I will not get into arguments with this, just giving an opinion, please or offend. it is ok for people to insult me calling me a pikey. thats acceptable. well not to me it isn't.
zacmaster- what are these sinister policies you mentioned, you need to substantiate your claims, whats wrong with trying to install a bit of pride back into being british
(Note the name Jilkins - raysparx1 - is there a spare 'bed' at the Milton Keynes Work Makes Joy reception centre, and do we have a cattle-truck on standby?)

I am against the BNP's policies, before just a moment ago because of, as you say, the image portrayed in the news and media, but have now got more founding for my thoughts after reading their policy overview on the website that was posted in the news section of this site on the dame vera thread. And no, I haven't met any of them but the individual doesn't necessarily equate to the whole party, millions of people in Germany were in the Nazi party, some of them probably very pleasant people but that doesn't mean what the Nazis did was acceptable.

I may have met a BNP member but how would I know?
Do they have "BNP" tatooed on their turbans, or what?
zacmaster, the first 2 are individuals opinions not party policy, we live in a country where asians, middle easterns and other races create their own community where other groups aren't welcome/safe which existing and past goverments haven't done anything about.

a lot has changed 2001 in every sense and if a black person was a 2nd class citizen why would they allow them to join their party and stand for election
Read about the rise of the Nazi party.

Insert immigrant instead of Jew.

Their leader (until recently) even said that the Holocaust figures were a lie (and some sort of conspiracy). Called it the Holohoax.

They are popular because they tell people what they want to hear.
A great deal of what National Socialism achieved for Germany was highly acceptable, e.g. the building of a superb system of autobahns, dragging Germany up out of economic collapse. It went screwball later on, but with (I believe) overall public consent.

The times are becoming ever-riper for history to repeat itself. Nobody, Gordon Brown, Barack Obama, Jon Snow, Alan Carr, anybody, can know the economic, moral, and political state of the world 12 months from now. Time to be vigilant.

I would rather vote for myself in any election. However, I do find it odd that:

companies can sack someone because they vote BNP

any BNP voter can be verbally attacked with the same kind of abuse that gays, asians get but without fear of the same consequences.

Ultimately the BNP is a legal voting party in the UK. The same goes for parties such as the monster raving loony party or one of my favourites, 'Church of the Militant Elvis Party'

Unless the government outlaws either of these, I strongly suspect that if any voter is ostracised or abused for their beliefs, that (longterm) we will see a rash of claims of discrimination in the courts and the same payouts awarded to those individuals as with other minority groups.

To answer the original question, the BNP is the only outlet where some see that the whole illegal immigrant issue would be addressed. If labour did more, then I'm sure the BNP will just fade into the background. At present though, with Labour seemingly more interested in other things, groups like the BNP will just flourish.

Gormless, you live up to your name.
For reminding people of history? How is that gormless?

Oh I see, you disagree with me, fine, all clear now.
